The Academy Pride FFA Chapter is part of the intracurricular system of agricultural education at Academy High School in Kingsville, Texas. We are a proud part of the Texas FFA Association and the National FFA Organization.
We are the leadership aspect of agricultural education. We are given the chance to explore our abilities through leadership conferences and conventions and employ our skills as officers in our chapter, district, area, state, and nation.
Classroom instruction, the second component of agricultural education, is accomplished through hands on activities and ties with the King Ranch and Texas A&M University - Kingsville.
Our third and final component is called Supervised Agricultural Experience Programs (SAEP's or SAE's). Each student is required to have an SAE, which can range from entrepernuership (starting a business), to placement (working for someone else), to experimentation, and exploration.
FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
