I wanted to take this opportunity to inform all parents, students, and supporters of the Academy Pride FFA of my strategic plan.  While in the hiring process, I drafted a plan of action that I wish to pursue as long as I am employed by Santa Gertrudis ISD and in the case of my leave, a plan I hope the new ag science instructor will take up. 

Year 1, 2009-2010

At least 1 state qualifying LDE or CDE team

A highly successful fundraiser with 60% participation

At least 60% FFA membership

At least 50% SAE and recordbook participation

At least 1 community service event

Begin a functioning and supportive advisory committee

Apply for as many scholarships, proficiency awards, chapter awards, and other activities as eligible and

possible

 

Year 2, 2010-2011

At least 2 state qualifying LDE or CDE teams

A highly successful fundraiser with 75% participation

At least 75% FFA membership

At least 75% SAE and recordbook participation

At least 2 community service event

Foster a functioning and supportive advisory committee

Apply for as many scholarships, proficiency awards, chapter awards, and other activities as eligible and

possible

 

Year 3, 2011-2012

At least 3 state qualifying LDE or CDE teams

A highly successful fundraiser with 90% participation

At least 90% FFA membership

At least 90% SAE and recordbook participation

At least 2 community service event

Foster and fully benefit from a functioning and supportive advisory committee

Apply for as many scholarships, proficiency awards, chapter awards, and other activities as eligible and

possible

 

Year 4, 2012-2013

At least 3 state qualifying LDE or CDE teams

A highly successful fundraiser with 100% participation

100% FFA membership

100% SAE and recordbook participation

At least 3 community service events

Allow a functioning and supportive advisory committee to self sustain

Apply for as many scholarships, proficiency awards, chapter awards, and other activities as eligible and

possible

 

Year 5, 6, 7, 8, and more....Continue with winning teams, strong SAE and FFA participation, and involvement with the community.
